न कर्णो3 भ्यधिक सर्त्वत्तो न शड़्के त्वां च पार्थिव । न हि मद्रेश्वरो राजा कुर्याद् यदनृतं भवेत्
na karṇo 'bhyadhikaḥ sattvato na śaṅke tvāṃ ca pārthiva | na hi madreśvaro rājā kuryād yad anṛtaṃ bhavet ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲੇ—ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਕਿ ਸੱਚੇ ਪਰਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਣ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਹੈ; ਅਤੇ ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ੰਕਾ ਹੈ। ਮਦ੍ਰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਸ਼ਲ੍ਯ ਕਦੇ ਐਸਾ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਜੋ ਝੂਠ ਬਣੇ ਜਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੱਚ-ਪ੍ਰਤਿਜ਼ਿਆ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋਵੇ।
