धृतराष्ट्रस्य मूर्च्छा स्त्रीणां च आर्तनादः

/ 2: जि - अस्त्रोंके चार भेद इस प्रकार हैं--मुक्त

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | hate droṇe maheṣvāse tava putrā mahārathāḥ | babhūvur asvasthamukhā viṣaṇṇā gatacetasaḥ ||

Translation

ਸੰਜਯ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਮਹਾਰਾਜ! ਮਹਾਧਨੁਰਧਰ ਦ੍ਰੋਣ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਹਾਰਥੀ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੇਚੈਨੀ ਛਾ ਗਈ। ਉਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁੱਬ ਗਏ, ਮਨੋਂ ਟੁੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੋਸ਼ ਗੁਆ ਬੈਠੇ ਹੋਣ।
