सुनीतैरिह सर्वार्थि्दैवमप्यनुलोम्यते । ते वयं प्रवरं नृणां सर्वैर्गुणगणैर्युतम्
saṃjaya uvāca | sunītair iha sarvārthair daivam apy anulomyate | te vayaṃ pravaraṃ nṛṇāṃ sarvair guṇagaṇair yutam |
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਇੱਥੇ ਜੇ ਹਰ ਕੰਮ ਸੁਨੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮ-ਅਨੁਕੂਲ ਆਚਰਨ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਦੈਵ ਵੀ ਅਨੁਕੂਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਹੇ ਭਾਰਤ! ਅਸੀਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ, ਸਭ ਗੁਣ-ਗਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੁਕਤ ਕਰਣ ਨੂੰ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀ ਪਦ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਭਿਸ਼ੇਕ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ; ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਥ ਕੇ ਰੱਖ ਦੇਵਾਂਗੇ।
