Saumadatti-vadha and Bhīma–Alambusa-saṃyoga (सौमदत्तिवधः तथा भीमालम्बुससंयोगः)
निर्दिष्ट यद् वृषाड्केण पुण्यं सर्वार्थसाधकम् | तौ जग्मतुरसम्भ्रान्ती नरनारायणावृषी
nirdiṣṭa yad vṛṣāṅkeṇa puṇyaṁ sarvārthasādhakam | tau jagmatur asambhrāntī nara-nārāyaṇāv ṛṣī ||
ਵ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਾਂਕ (ਸ਼ਿਵ) ਨੇ ਜੋ ਸਰਵਾਰਥ-ਸਾਧਕ ਪੁੰਨਮਈ ਮਾਰਗ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਨਰ-ਨਾਰਾਇਣ—ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ—ਅਡੋਲ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ, ਬਿਨਾ ਘਬਰਾਹਟ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ।
