Drona–Dhrishtadyumna Battle Description
सप्तद्वीपां वसुमतीं मारीचो<वगृह्नत द्विज: । राम॑ प्रोवाच निर्गच्छ वसुधातो ममाज्ञया,ब्रह्मर्षि कश्यपने जब सातों द्वीपोंसे युक्त यह पृथ्वी दानमें ले ली, तब उन्होंने परशुरामजीसे कहा--“अब तू मेरी आज्ञासे इस पृथ्वीसे निकल जाओ” (और कहीं अन्यत्र जाकर रहो)
saptadvīpāṃ vasumatīṃ mārīco ’vagṛhṇat dvijaḥ | rāmaṃ provāca nirgaccha vasudhāto mamājñayā ||
ਨਾਰਦ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਦੁਇਜ ਮਾਰੀਚ ਨੇ ਦਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੱਤ ਦੀਪਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੁਕਤ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਮ (ਪਰਸ਼ੁਰਾਮ) ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ—“ਮੇਰੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਓ।”
