सहस़पुत्रा: पुरुषा दशवर्षशतायुष:

sahasraputrāḥ puruṣā daśavarṣaśatāyuṣaḥ

ਨਾਰਦ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਕੁਝ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਐਸੇ ਵੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਸੌ ਦਹਾਕਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ, ਫੈਲਦੀ ਹੈ।
