Transliteration

sahasraputrāḥ puruṣā daśavarṣaśatāyuṣaḥ

Translation

ਨਾਰਦ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਕੁਝ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਐਸੇ ਵੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਸੌ ਦਹਾਕਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ, ਫੈਲਦੀ ਹੈ।
