क्षुरप्रेण महातेजास्त्वरमाण: सपत्नजित् | उस समय शत्रुओंपर विजय पानेवाले महातेजस्वी द्रोणाचार्यने शीघ्रता करते हुए एक क्षुप्रके द्वारा अभिमन्युकी मुद्ठीमें स्थित हुए मणिमय मूठसे युक्त खड़गको काट डाला

ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਸ਼ਤ੍ਰੂਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਦੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਹਾਤੇਜਸਵੀ ਦ੍ਰੋਣਾਚਾਰਯ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਸ਼ੁਰਪ੍ਰ ਨਾਮਕ ਤਿੱਖੇ ਬਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਅਭਿਮਨ੍ਯੂ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਠ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੜੀ, ਮਣੀਆਂ ਜੜੀ ਮੂਠ ਵਾਲੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਡਿਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
