ततः: पुनर्दक्षिणत: संग्रामश्चित्रयोधिनाम्
tataḥ punar dakṣiṇataḥ saṅgrāmaś citrayodhinām
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਫਿਰ ਮੁੜ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ, ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਤੇ ਚਮਕਦਾਰ ਪਰਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਵਾਲੇ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਜੰਗ ਛਿੜ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਯੁੱਧ ਦਾ ਰੁਖ ਵਾਰ-ਵਾਰ ਇਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਸਰਕਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਧਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਣ-ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਕਠੋਰਤਾ ਤੇ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਤਣਾਅ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਖਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ।
