त॑ निहत्येषुवर्ष तु द्रोण: क्षत्रियमर्दन:
tān nihatyeṣuvarṣaṃ tu droṇaḥ kṣatriyamardanaḥ
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ, ਖ਼ਸ਼ਤਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਰਦਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਦ੍ਰੋਣ ਰਣਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਕਰਤੱਬ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਸ਼ਰਵਰਖਾ ਅਤੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਤਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
