नारायणास्त्र-शमनं द्रौणि-प्रहारश्च

रजसा तमसा व्याप्ता द्योतिता: प्रभया पुन: । धूल और अन्धकारसे व्याप्त आकाश, पृथ्वी, दिशा और विदिशाएँ प्रदीपोंकी प्रभासे पुनः प्रकाशित हो उठी थीं
rajasā tamasā vyāptā dyotitāḥ prabhayā punaḥ |
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਧੂੜ ਅਤੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਘਿਰਿਆ ਆਕਾਸ਼, ਧਰਤੀ, ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਦੀਵਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਚਮਕ ਨਾਲ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਹੋ ਉੱਠੀਆਂ। ਜੰਗ ਦੇ ਭਰਮ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਕਦੇ ਕਦੇ ਸਪਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਮੁੜ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ—ਇਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਉਸੇ ਦਾ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਸੀ।
