Educational Q&A

Even in war, one should not abandon a comrade in immediate vulnerability; restoring an ally’s means to act (here, placing him on a chariot) reflects responsibility and solidarity within one’s side.

Sañjaya narrates that someone is seen ‘viratha’ (without a chariot), and others promptly place him onto a chariot so he can rejoin the ongoing combat.
