Adhyāya 92: Irāvanta-śoka, punaḥ-pravṛttiḥ saṅgrāmasya
Arjuna’s grief and the battle’s renewed intensity
न शुश्रूषसि तद् वाक्यं मर्त्य: पथ्यमिवौषधम् | तदेव त्वामनुप्राप्तं वचनं साधुभाषितम्
sañjaya uvāca |
na śuśrūṣasi tad vākyaṃ martyaḥ pathyam ivauṣadham |
tad eva tvām anuprāptaṃ vacanaṃ sādhubhāṣitam |
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਸਲਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ—ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਥ੍ਯ ਦਵਾਈ ਵੀ ਨਾਪਸੰਦ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹੀ ਸੁਚੱਜੀ, ਸਾਧੂ-ਬਚਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਅੱਜ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆ ਪਈ ਹੈ।
