Chapter 89: Bhīma dispatched to protect Ghaṭotkaca amid escalating engagements
रक्षां कृत्वा ततः शूरान्यस्य गुल्मान् यथाविधि । अपनीय च शल्यानि स्नात्वा च विविधैर्जलै:
sañjaya uvāca | rakṣāṃ kṛtvā tataḥ śūrān yasya gulmān yathāvidhi | apanīya ca śalyāni snātvā ca vividhair jalaiḥ ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਤਦੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੂਰਵੀਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੌਹੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਟੋਲੀਆਂ (ਗੁਲਮ) ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਵਿਧੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਿਵਿਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕੀਤਾ। ਫਿਰ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਧੰਸੇ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਲ੍ਯ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ, ਨਾਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਜਲ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਵਸਤਿਵਾਚਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਗਲ ਆਸ਼ੀਰਵਾਦ ਹੋਣ ਉਪਰੰਤ, ਬੰਦੀਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਤੁਤੀ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਹ ਯਸ਼ਸਵੀ ਵੀਰ ਗੀਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਧੁਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ-ਵਿਨੋਦ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ।
