आत्मदोषात् समुत्पन्नं शोचितुं नार्हसे नृप । न हि रक्षन्ति राजान: सर्वथात्रापि जीवितम्
sañjaya uvāca |
ātmadoṣāt samutpannaṃ śocituṃ nārhase nṛpa |
na hi rakṣanti rājānaḥ sarvathātrāpi jīvitam, nareśvara ||
ਹੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ! ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਦੋਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਉਪਜੀ ਆਫ਼ਤ ਲਈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਹੇ ਨਰੇਸ਼ਵਰ! ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਵੀ ਹਰ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ।
