भीष्मभीमसमागमः — Bhīṣma–Bhīma Strategic Engagement and Counsel to the King
ते हन्यमाना: पार्थन भीष्म शान्तनवं ययु: । अगाधे मज्जमानानां भीष्म: पोतो5भवत् तदा
te hanyamānāḥ pārthān bhīṣmaśāntanavaṁ yayuḥ | agādhe majjamānānāṁ bhīṣmaḥ poto 'bhavat tadā ||
ਪਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਘਾਇਲ ਹੋਏ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਯੋਧੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਨੁਨੰਦਨ ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਵੱਲ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਲਈ ਮੁੜ ਪਏ। ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਰੂਪੀ ਅਗਾਧ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁੱਬਦੇ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੌਕਾ ਵਾਂਗ—ਤੁਰੰਤ ਆਸਰਾ ਤੇ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਾਧਨ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।
