मेरोर्दिग्वर्णनम् / Digvarṇana of Meru: Uttara-Kuru, Bhadrāśva, and Jambūdvīpa Motifs
पद्मपत्रसुगन्धाश्न जायन्ते तत्र मानवाः | अनिष्यन्दा इष्टगन्धा निराहारा जितेन्द्रिया:
padmapatra-sugandhāś ca jāyante tatra mānavāḥ | aniṣyandā iṣṭa-gandhā nirāhārā jitendriyāḥ ||
ਉਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਖਿੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਮਲ-ਪੱਤਿਆਂ ਵਰਗੀ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਨਾਲ ਜਨਮ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਸੀਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਕਲਦਾ; ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਕ ਸੁਭਾਵਿਕ ਹੀ ਮਨਭਾਉਣੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਭੁੱਖ-ਤ੍ਰਿਹ ਦੀ ਬੇੜੀ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਜੀਊਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
