Adhyāya 78 — Bhīṣma’s Advance, Duryodhana’s Rally, and Concurrent Duels (भीष्मस्याभ्युद्यमः, दुर्योधनस्योत्साहवचनम्, विविधयुद्धवर्णनम्)
भारत! तुषार, यवन, शक और चूचुपदेशके सैनिक व्यूहके दाहिने पक्षका आश्रय लेकर स्थित हुए ।।
śrutāyuś ca śatāyuś ca saumadattiś ca māriṣa | vyūhasya jaghane tasthuḥ rakṣamāṇāḥ parasparam ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਹੇ ਭਾਰਤ! ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤਾਯੁ, ਸ਼ਤਾਯੁ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਮਦੱਤ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਭੂਰੀਸ਼੍ਰਵ—ਇਹ ਸਭ ਇਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵ੍ਯੂਹ ਦੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜੇ ਹੋਏ।
