Chapter 7: Dvīpa–Varṣa–Meru-varṇana
Description of the Dvīpa, Varṣas, and Mount Meru
उत्तरा: कुरवो राजन् व्याख्यातास्ते समासतः । मेरो: पार्श्वमहं पूर्व वक्ष्याम्यथ यथातथम्,राजन! इस प्रकार मैंने आपसे थोड़ेमें उत्तरकुरु-वर्षका वर्णन किया। अब मैं मेरुके पूर्वभागमें स्थित भद्राश्ववर्षका यथावत् वर्णन करूँगा
uttarāḥ kuravo rājan vyākhyātās te samāsataḥ | meroḥ pārśvam ahaṃ pūrvaṃ vakṣyāmy atha yathātatham ||
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰਕੁਰੂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਮੇਰੂ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਪਾਸੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਭਦ੍ਰਾਸ਼ਵ ਵਰ੍ਹਸ਼ ਦਾ ਯਥਾਕ੍ਰਮ, ਯਥਾਰਥ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
