धर्मेण सर्वकार्याणि जीवितादीनि भारत । आरभमन्ते सदा पार्था: प्रार्थथाना महद्‌ यश:

Transliteration

dharmeṇa sarvakāryāṇi jīvitādīni bhārata | ārabhamante sadā pārthāḥ prārthayānā mahad yaśaḥ ||

Translation

ਹੇ ਭਾਰਤ! ਪૃਥਾ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਾਰਥ ਜੀਵਨ-ਨਿਰਵਾਹ ਆਦਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਦਾ ਧਰਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ; ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਧਰਮਾਚਰਨ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਾਨ ਯਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
