शल्यं च पज्चविंशत्या शरैरविव्याध पाण्डव: । रुक्मपुड्खैर्महेष्वास: स विद्धो व्यपयाद् रणात्
śalyaṃ ca pañcaviṃśatyā śarair avivyādha pāṇḍavaḥ | rukmapuṅkhair maheṣvāsaḥ sa viddho vyapayād raṇāt ||
ਫਿਰ ਮਹਾਧਨੁਧਾਰੀ ਪਾਂਡਵ ਨੇ ਸੁਨਹਿਰੀ ਪਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੱਚੀ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਜਾ ਸ਼ਲ੍ਯ ਨੂੰ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ; ਜਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਲ੍ਯ ਰਣਭੂਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹਟ ਗਿਆ।
