Garuḍa Array and the Ardhacandra Counter-Formation
क्षत्रियान्तकरा: संख्ये महावेगा महाबला: । शिरांसि पातयामासुर्वीराणां शतशो रणे
sañjaya uvāca | kṣatriyāntakarāḥ saṅkhye mahāvegā mahābalāḥ | śirāṃsi pātayāmāsur vīrāṇāṃ śataśo raṇe | jighāṃsantaṃ yudhāṃ śreṣṭha tadā āsīt tumulaṃ mahat ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਮਹਾਵੇਗੀ, ਮਹਾਬਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਖ਼ਸ਼ਤਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਾਣ ਸੈਂਕੜਿਆਂ ਵੀਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਡਿਗਾਉਣ ਲੱਗੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਯੋਧੇ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਵੀਰ ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਨੀਅਤ ਨਾਲ ਭਿੜੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਮਹਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਮੁਲ ਹੋ ਉਠਿਆ।
