उनन््ममाथ ततस्तालं ध्वजशीर्ष महात्मन: । फिर शिखाशून्य पंखयुक्त बाणका संधान करके उसके द्वारा महात्मा भीष्मके तालचिह्नयुक्त ध्वजका ऊपरी भाग काट डाला
unmamātha tatastālaṃ dhvajaśīrṣa mahātmanaḥ |
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਤਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਦੇ ਤਾਲ-ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਵਾਲੇ ਧੁੱਜ ਦੇ ਸਿਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਫਿਰ ਸ਼ਿਖਾ-ਰਹਿਤ, ਪਰਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੀਰ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਉਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਧੁੱਜ ਦਾ ਉਪਰਲਾ ਭਾਗ ਕੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
