परस्परेण धावन्त: पतिता: पुनरुत्थिता:
sañjaya uvāca | paraspareṇa dhāvantaḥ patitāḥ punar utthitāḥ | jighāṃsantaṃ yudhāṃ śreṣṭha tadā āsīt tumulaṃ mahat ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ! ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਤੂਮੁਲ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਇਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਾਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਈ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਏ, ਫਿਰ ਉੱਠ ਖੜੇ ਹੋਏ; ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਟੱਕਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੁੱਸਦੇ ਰਹੇ।
