प्रावेपन्त महेष्वासा: शिखण्डिप्रमुखा रथा: । संग्रामभूमिमें शोभा पानेवाले भीष्मजीके द्वारा महाधनुर्धर श्वेतके मारे जानेपर शिखण्डी आदि महाधनुर्धर रथी भयके मारे काँपने लगे || ११८ ह || ततो धनंजयो राजन वार्ष्णेयश्चापि सर्वश:
sañjaya uvāca | prāvepanta maheṣvāsāḥ śikhaṇḍipramukhā rathāḥ | tato dhanañjayo rājan vārṣṇeyaś cāpi sarvaśaḥ |
ਸੰਜੈ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਧਨੁਰਧਰ ਸ਼ਵੇਤ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਖੰਡੀ-ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਾਨ ਧਨੁਰਧਰ ਰਥੀ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਬਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ। ਫਿਰ, ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ, ਧਨੰਜਯ ਅਰਜੁਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਰਸ਼ਣੇਯ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਹੌਲੀ ਹੌਲੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਰਣਭੂਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹਟਾ ਲਿਆ; ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਤੇ ਪਾਂਡਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਵੀ ਯੁੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਉਚਾਟ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
