प्रगृहीताग्रहस्तेन वैराटिरपि दन्तिना । अभ्यद्रवत राजानं मद्राधिपतिमुत्तर:

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

pragṛhītāgrahastena vairāṭir api dantinā |

abhyadravat rājānaṃ madrādhipatim uttaraḥ ||

Translation

ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ, ਸੁੰਡ ਨੂੰ ਮੋੜ ਕੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਰੱਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਸ ਦੰਤਾਲੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਵਿਰਾਟ-ਪੁੱਤਰ ਉੱਤਰ ਮਦ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਪਤੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਸ਼ਲ੍ਯ ਉੱਤੇ ਟੁੱਟ ਪਿਆ।
