The verse grounds experience and embodied life in a universal framework: five fundamental qualities are said to function through the five great elements, and all beings depend on these elements. It points to an ordered cosmos where understanding the constituents of nature supports discernment and right judgment.
Sañjaya continues instructive discourse to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra, shifting from battlefield reporting to a reflective explanation of how the worlds and beings are sustained—by the five great elements and the qualities operating within them.
