द्रोण उवाच ध्रुवस्ते विजयो राजन्‌ यस्य मन्त्री हरिस्तव । अहं त्वामभिजानामि रणे शत्रून्‌ विमोक्ष्यसे

Transliteration

droṇa uvāca | dhruvas te vijayo rājan yasya mantrī haris tava | ahaṃ tvām abhijānāmi raṇe śatrūn vimokṣyase |

Translation

ਦ੍ਰੋਣ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ, ਤੇਰੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹਰੀ (ਸ਼੍ਰੀਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਆਪ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ; ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੂੰ ਸ਼ਤਰੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ।
