Nirmaryāda-saṃgrāma-varṇana — The Unbounded Clash and Bhīṣma’s Rallying Presence
काममाश्रित्य दुष्पूरं दम्भभानमदान्विता: । मोहाद गृहीत्वासदग्राहान् प्रवर्तन्तेडशुचिव्रता:
kāmam āśritya duṣpūraṁ dambha-māna-madānvitāḥ | mohād gṛhītvā sad-agrāhān pravartante 'śuci-vratāḥ ||
ਦੰਭ, ਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਦ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਝੂਠੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਫੜ ਕੇ, ਅਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭ੍ਰਸ਼ਟ ਵਰਤ-ਆਚਾਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਕੇ, ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਉਂ ਹੀ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
