अशोभिता दिश: सर्वा: पांसुवर्ष: समन्ततः । उत्पातमेघा रौद्राश्न रात्रौ वर्षन्ति शोणितम्,चारों ओर धूलकी वर्षा होनेसे सम्पूर्ण दिशाएँ शोभाहीन हो गयी हैं। उत्पातसूचक भयंकर मेघ रातमें रक्तकी वर्षा करते हैं
aśobhitā diśaḥ sarvāḥ pāṃsuvṛṣṭiḥ samantataḥ | utpātameghā raudrāś ca rātrau varṣanti śoṇitam ||
ਵਿਆਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਚੌਹੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਧੂੜ ਦੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਨਿਸ਼ੋਭ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਅਪਸ਼ਕੁਨ-ਸੂਚਕ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬੱਦਲ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਲਹੂ ਦੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
