कामात्मान: स्वर्गपरा जन्मकर्मफलप्रदाम्‌ । क्रियाविशेषबहुलां भोगैश्वर्यगतिं प्रति

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | kāmātmānaḥ svargaparā janma-karma-phala-pradām | kriyā-viśeṣa-bahulāṁ bhogaiśvarya-gatiṁ prati ||

Translation

ਹੇ ਅਰਜੁਨ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਹੀ ਕਾਮਨਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਵਰਗ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਪਰਮ ਲਕਸ਼ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਜਨਮ ਤੇ ਕਰਮ-ਫਲ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ—ਭੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਐਸ਼ਵਰਯ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਲਈ—ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
