अभिपेतुर्भुशं क्रुद्धाश्छादयन्तश्न॒ पाण्डवम् | भीष्मके धनुषका काटा जाना कौरव महारथियोंको सहन नहीं हुआ। द्रोण
sañjaya uvāca | abhipeturbhuśaṃ kruddhāś chādayantaś ca pāṇḍavam |
ਸੰਜਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਅਤਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਪਾਂਡੁਨੰਦਨ ਅਰਜੁਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਟੁੱਟ ਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਾ ਕੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕਣ ਲੱਗੇ। ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਦੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਦੀ ਟੰਕਾਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਨਾ ਗਈ; ਦ੍ਰੋਣ, ਕ੍ਰਿਤਵਰਮਾ, ਸਿੰਧੁਰਾਜ ਜੈਦ੍ਰਥ, ਭੂਰੀਸ਼੍ਰਵਾ, ਸ਼ਲ, ਸ਼ਲ੍ਯ ਅਤੇ ਭਗਦੱਤ—ਇਹ ਸੱਤ ਮਹਾਰਥੀ ਰੋਹ ਨਾਲ ਭੜਕ ਕੇ ਕਿਰਿਟਧਾਰੀ ਫਾਲਗੁਨ ਵੱਲ ਦੌੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਵ੍ਯ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ-ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਰਜੁਨ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਪੂਰਵਕ ਸ਼ਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਛਾਦਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ।
