Transliteration

kuśastambaḥ kuśadvīpe madhye janapadaiḥ saha | sampūjyate śālmalidvīpe śālmalī ca nṛpa-nareśvara ||

Translation

ਹੇ ਨਰੇਸ਼ਵਰ! ਕੁਸ਼ਦ੍ਵੀਪ ਦੇ ਮੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਸ਼-ਘਾਹ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਗੁੱਛਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਜਨਪਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਲਮਲੀਦ੍ਵੀਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਲਮਲੀ (ਸੇਮਰ/ਸਿਲਕ-ਕਾਟਨ) ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
