जग्मुस्ते परलोकाय व्यादितास्यमिवान्तकम् | वे युद्धसे पीठ न दिखानेवाले
sañjaya uvāca | jagmus te paralokāya vyāditāsyam ivāntakam |
ਉਹ ਯੋਧੇ ਮਾਨੋ ਮੂੰਹ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ, ਪਰਲੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ। ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿੱਠ ਨਾ ਵਿਖਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਸ਼ੌਰ੍ਯ-ਸੰਪੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਵਰਨ ਧੁਜ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ; ਅਤੇ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ, ਰਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਬਣ ਗਏ।
