तामापतन्तीं सहसा घोररूपां विशाम्पते । द्विधा चिच्छेद ते पुत्र: क्षुरप्रेण महारथ:
tām āpatantīṃ sahasā ghorarūpāṃ viśāmpate | dvidhā ciccheda te putraḥ kṣurapreṇa mahārathaḥ ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਨਾਥ! ਉਹ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੱਲ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮਹਾਰਥੀ ਦੁਰਯੋਧਨ ਨੇ ‘ਖ਼ਸ਼ੁਰਪ੍ਰ’ ਨਾਮਕ ਤਿੱਖੇ ਬਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਟੁਕੜਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੀਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
