तेषां समागमो घोरो बभूव युधि संगत: । अन्योन्यस्य वधार्थाय जिगीषूणां महाहवे
teṣāṃ samāgamo ghoro babhūva yudhi saṃgataḥ | anyonyasya vadhārthāya jigīṣūṇāṃ mahāhave ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਜੰਗ ਦੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਟੱਕਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਉਸ ਮਹਾਂਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਦੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਨਾਲ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਪੱਖ ਇਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਵਧ ਲਈ ਡਟ ਕੇ ਭਿੜ ਪਏ।
