Arjuna and Bhima’s pressure; escalation toward Bhishma
अप्रशस्ते नरे चैव न युद्ध रोचते मम । जब मैं अस्त्र-शस्त्र डाल दूँ
bhīṣma uvāca | apraśaste nare caiva na yuddhaṃ rocate mama | imaṃ me śṛṇu rājendra saṅkalpaṃ pūrvacintitam ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ: ਨਿੰਦਣਯੋਗ ਆਚਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ। ਹੇ ਰਾਜੇਂਦ੍ਰ, ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਸੁਣ।
