भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ११०: पार्थभीमयोः प्रहारः तथा भीष्माभिमुखं संग्रामविस्तारः

सेन्द्रानपि रणे देवाञ्जयेयं जयतां वर । त्वया नाथेन गोविन्द किमु भीष्म॑ महारथम्
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | sendrān api raṇe devān jayeyam jayatāṃ vara | tvayā nāthena govinda kimu bhīṣmaṃ mahāratham ||
ਹੇ ਜੇਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ! ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਰੱਖਿਆਕਰਤਾ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਦਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ; ਫਿਰ ਮਹਾਰਥੀ ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ?
