Yuga-Lakṣaṇa and Varṣa-Pramāṇa Inquiry (युगलक्षण–वर्षप्रमाण–प्रश्न)
वर्णा: स्वकर्मनिरता न च स्तेनोअत्र दृश्यते । दीर्घायुषो महाराज जरामृत्युविवर्जिता:
sañjaya uvāca |
varṇāḥ svakarmaniratā na ca steno ’tra dṛśyate |
dīrghāyuṣo mahārāja jarāmṛtyuvivarjitāḥ ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਵਰਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿਯਤ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਚੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ। ਹੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ! ਉਸ ਟਾਪੂ ਦੇ ਵਸਨੀਕ ਦਿਰਘਾਯੂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਢਾਪੇ ਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਹਨ।
