निःश्वसन्तं यथा नागमर्जुन: प्रणयात्‌ सखा । निवर्तस्व महाबाहो नानृतं कर्तुमहसि

Transliteration

niḥśvasantaṃ yathā nāgam arjunaḥ praṇayāt sakhā | nivartasva mahābāho nānṛtaṃ kartum arhasi ||

Translation

ਫੁੰਕਾਰਦੇ ਸੱਪ ਵਾਂਗ ਲੰਮੇ ਸਾਹ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ, ਸਨੇਹੀ ਸਖਾ ਅਰਜੁਨ ਬੋਲਿਆ—“ਮਹਾਬਾਹੋ! ਮੁੜ ਆਓ; ਆਪਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਗਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਝੂਠਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੋਭਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ।”
