भीष्मस्य शरवर्षः — Bhīṣma’s Arrow-Storm and Kṛṣṇa’s Impulse to Intervene
भेरीमृदड़शड्खानां दुन्दुभीनां च निःस्वनै: | उत्कृष्टसिंहनादैश्व वल्गितैश्व पृथग्विधै:
bherīmṛdaṅgaśaṅkhānāṃ dundubhīnāṃ ca niḥsvanaiḥ | utkṛṣṭasiṃhanādaiś ca valgitaiś ca pṛthagvidhaiḥ ||
ਭੇਰੀ, ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ, ਸ਼ੰਖ ਅਤੇ ਦੁੰਦੁਭੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਗੂੰਜਦੇ ਨਾਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ, ਉੱਚੇ ਸਿੰਹਨਾਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਲਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਚੈਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਟੁੱਟ ਪਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਰਜ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਗਰਜ ਨਾਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ; ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਯੁੱਧ ਛਿੜ ਗਿਆ।
