शकुनेः पुत्रेण सह आश्वमेधाश्वविषयः संघर्षः — Arjuna’s restrained engagement with Śakuni’s son during the horse-escort
समानीय महातेजा: सर्वान् भ्रातृन् महीपति: । भीम॑ च नकुलं चैव सहदेवं च कौरव
samānīya mahātejāḥ sarvān bhrātṝn mahīpatiḥ | bhīmaṃ ca nakulaṃ caiva sahadevaṃ ca kaurava ||
ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— ਤਦ ਮਹਾਤੇਜਸਵੀ ਧਰਮਰਾਜ ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਿਰ ਨੇ, ਹੇ ਕੁਰੁਨੰਦਨ, ਆਪਣੇ ਸਭ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ—ਭੀਮ, ਨਕੁਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਦੇਵ—ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ। ਫਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਭੀਮਸੇਨ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦ ਕੇ, ਧਰਮਾਤਮਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਕਤਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਿਰ ਨੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨੀਤੀ-ਯੁਕਤ ਬਚਨ ਕਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
