Arjuna and Ulūpī: Explanation of Śānti and the Maṇipūra Resolution
युधिष्ठटिरस्य संदेशो न हन्तव्या नूपा इति । तेन जीवसि राजंस्त्वमपराद्धो5पि मे रणे
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Yudhiṣṭhirasya saṃdeśo na hantavyā nṛpā iti | tena jīvasi rājan tvam aparāddho 'pi me raṇe ||
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਿਰ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੈ—‘ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਧ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।’ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਤੂੰ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
