Educational Q&A

One should fulfill obligations to the teacher’s household promptly and respectfully. Dharma here is expressed as swift restitution—returning what is due without hesitation, honoring the guru’s family as worthy of the same reverence as the guru.

The speaker describes how the protagonist quickly reaches sage Gautama’s home and hands over the pair of divine earrings to the guru’s wife, completing a required act and advancing the episode’s moral trajectory of duty and accountability.
