Adhyāya 48: Brahmopadeśa on Prāṇāyāma, Sāttvika Vṛtti, and the Sattva–Kṣetrajña Question
अनुमानाद् विजानीम: पुरुष सत्त्वसंश्रयम् । न शक््यमन्यथा गन्तुं पुरुष द्विजसत्तमा:
anumānād vijānīmaḥ puruṣa sattvasaṃśrayam | na śakyam anyathā gantuṃ puruṣa dvijasattamāḥ ||
ਵਾਯੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— ਅਨੁਮਾਨ-ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪਰਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਸਤ੍ਤਵ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਦਵਿਜ-ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ! ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਪੁਰਖ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਣਾ ਸੰਭਵ ਨਹੀਂ; ਇਸ ਤੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ।
