Adhyāya 33: Brāhmaṇa-Upadeśa on Buddhi, Āśrama-Forms, and Inner Freedom
एक: पन्था ब्राह्मणानां येन गच्छन्ति तद्विद: । गृहेषु वनवासेषु गुरुवासेषु भिक्षुषु
ekaḥ panthā brāhmaṇānāṁ yena gacchanti tadvidaḥ | gṛheṣu vanavāseṣu guruvāseṣu bhikṣuṣu brahmacarye gārhasthye vānaprasthe ca saṁnyāse ca ||
ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਲਈ ਰਾਹ ਇਕੋ ਹੀ ਹੈ; ਉਹੀ ਰਾਹ ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੱਤਵ-ਦਰਸ਼ੀ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਣ, ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਆਸ਼੍ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਣ ਜਾਂ ਭਿੱਖਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਣ; ਬ੍ਰਹਮਚਰਜ, ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਥ, ਵਾਨਪ੍ਰਸਥ ਜਾਂ ਸੰਨਿਆਸ—ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਆਸ਼੍ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮਵੇਤਾ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਇਕੋ ਇਕਰੂਪ ਮਾਰਗ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਦੇ ਹਨ।
