जनक–ब्राह्मणसंवादः
Viṣaya, Mamatva, and Self-Mastery
सोअन्यस्य विषये राज्ञो वस्तुमिच्छाम्यहं विभो | वचस्ते कर्तुमिच्छामि यथाशास्त्रं महीपते
so 'nyasya viṣaye rājño vastum icchāmy ahaṃ vibho | vacas te kartum icchāmi yathāśāstraṃ mahīpate ||
ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—“ਹੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਹ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ; ਪਰ ਹੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਿਅਕ, ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਵੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।”
