अध्वर्यु–यति संवादः
Adhvaryu–Yati Dialogue on Svabhāva, Ahiṃsā, and Mokṣa
इन्धनस्य तु तुल्येन शरीरेण विचेतसा । हिंसानिर्वेष्टकामानामिन्धनं पशुसंज्ञितम्
indhanasya tu tulyena śarīreṇa vicetasā | hiṃsā-nirveṣṭa-kāmānām indhanaṃ paśu-saṃjñitam ||
ਇਹ ਚੇਤਨਾ-ਰਹਿਤ, ਜੜ੍ਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਇੰਧਨ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਯਸ਼ਚਿੱਤ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਯਜ्ञ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੰਧਨ ਹੀ ‘ਪਸ਼ੂ’ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜਦੋਂ ਕਰਮ ਇੰਧਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸਿੱਧ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਪਸ਼ੂ-ਹਿੰਸਾ ਕਿਉਂ?
