Bhīmasya paruṣa-vākyaṃ
Bhīma’s Harsh Speech Heard by Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Gāndhārī
वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! वेदवेत्ताओंमें श्रेष्ठ
evam etan mahābāho yathā vadasi bhārata | rājāyaṁ vṛddhatāṁ prāptaḥ pramāṇe parame sthitaḥ ||
ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜਨਮੇਜਯ! ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਿਰ ਦੇ ਇਉਂ ਕਹਿਣ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਵੇਦ-ਵੇਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ, ਮਹਾਤੇਜਸਵੀ ਤੇ ਮਹਾਪ੍ਰਾਜ্ঞ ਵਿਆਸ ਨੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਫਿਰ ਕਿਹਾ—“ਮਹਾਬਾਹੁ ਭਰਤਵੰਸ਼ਜ! ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਓਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ; ਪਰ ਰਾਜਾ ਧ੍ਰਿਤਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਬੁੱਢੇ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਹੱਦ ‘ਤੇ ਖੜੇ ਹਨ।”
