Kuntī–Vyāsa Dialogue on Durvāsā’s Boon and Karṇa’s Birth

माल्यैर्गन्धैश्व विविधैरर्चयित्वा यथाविधि । कुल्यानि तेषां संयोज्य तदाचख्युर्महीपते:

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

mālyair gandhaiś ca vividhair arcayitvā yathāvidhi |

kulyāni teṣāṃ saṃyojya tadācakhyur mahīpateḥ ||

Translation

ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਬੋਲੇ—ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਾਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਾਲਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਗੰਧਿਤ ਦ੍ਰਵਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਧੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਅਰਚਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ; ਫਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਸਥਿ-ਅਵਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਜਾ ਕੇ, ਉਹ ਗੱਲ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੀ।
