Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
नानाविधैश्व विहगैर्जलप्रकरसेविभि: । एकद्वारामनादेयां सूपतीर्थामकर्दमाम्
nānāvidhaiś ca vihagair jalaprakara-sevibhiḥ | ekadvārām anādeyāṃ sūpatīrthām akardamām ||
ਉੱਥੇ ਜਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਅਨੇਕ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਲਰਵ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਚੁਰ ਜਲ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖ਼ਲੇ ਲਈ ਇਕੋ ਹੀ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਸੀ; ਉੱਥੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਲੈ ਜਾਣਾ ਮਨਾਹੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਲਈ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਘਾਟ-ਸੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਬਣੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕਾਈ ਤੇ ਚਿਕੜ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਰਹਿਤ ਸੀ।
